The Team

Tess Introducing: Tess

My name is Tess; I am currently completing my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. I’ve grown up with animals all my life. My first pet was a beautiful Afghan named Aggie and she was the most playful pup ever! We also had the “Gentle Giant” Kane, also an Afghan, who was loving and carefree. I’ve also had a ferret, two cats, and currently have a toy poodle, Henna. I am fond of animals, both large and small! In high school, I interned at Dominion Animal Hospital and learned a great deal about emergency animal care. Now my goal is to use my business degree and experience to open and operate DogTag Petsitters.

Dayna Introducing: Dayna

Hi everyone, I’m Dayna! I recently got married and currently live with my husband and my two “kids”, two cocker spaniels named Bryce and Holly. I have been a house and pet sitter for about 8 years now. I began sitting for neighbors, friends, and coworkers but soon branched out after I received referrals to other homes. I love all kinds of animals and am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in animal sciences and zoology. I interned at Dominion Animal Hospital, along with my best friend Tess (also the co-owner of DogTag Petsitters) in high school and learned a lot about emergency medical care for animals. I am proud to say that we are both certified in Pet First Aid. Animals are my passion and this fueled me to start the DogTag Petsitters. With my best friend of 13 years going for a business degree, it was only natural to do it together! We are both so excited about all the wonderful families we have met so far and we cannot wait to meet yours!

Mark Introducing: Mark

My name is Mark. My Wife, Dayna, began this business and I decided to help out and make it a family business! I have had dogs all my life since I was a young boy growing up and we currently have 2 Cocker Spaniels which we spoil endlessly! After high school, I joined the Marine Corps in 2000 and have served in many countries such as Korea, Thailand, Japan, and most recently in Iraq. After my term was up, I began coaching Gymnastics. I have been an elite gymnast since I was 9, and I love helping young kids, so coaching came naturally. Now, I’m excited to be helping my wife with her new business and we hope to be around, helping families for many years!
